1. PURPOSE
Accra Hype respects copyright and other intellectual-property rights.
This Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy explains:
how intellectual property is treated on the Accra Hype Platforms;
how our content may be used;
how users may submit material;
how rights holders may raise infringement concerns; and
how Accra Hype may respond to complaints.
This Policy forms part of our Terms of Use.
2. ACCRA HYPE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise indicated, Accra Hype owns or is authorised to use intellectual property appearing on our Platforms.

graphics;
artwork;

designs;

3. THIRD-PARTY CONTENT
Not all material published by Accra Hype is owned by Accra Hype.
We may lawfully publish or display material belonging to:
photographers;
videographers;
musicians;
artists;
public relations agencies;
record labels;
event organisers;
advertisers;
contributors;
licensors;
media partners;
public figures; and
other rights holders.
Ownership remains with the applicable rights holder unless expressly transferred.
4. USER CONTENT
Users may submit photographs, videos, articles, tips, interviews or other content.
By submitting material, you confirm that you have the legal right to submit it.
You must not submit content that you have stolen, copied unlawfully or obtained without the necessary rights.
Where you submit content for publication, you grant Accra Hype a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, edit, distribute, communicate and promote that content through Accra Hype's Platforms, subject to applicable law.
5. USE OF ACCRA HYPE CONTENT
You may:
view our content;
link to our website;
use native social-media sharing tools; and
quote reasonable portions where permitted by law and with appropriate attribution.
You must not:
reproduce complete articles without permission;
download and commercially redistribute our videos;
copy our photographs for commercial use;
remove watermarks or attribution;
scrape our website;
reproduce our branding;
sell our content;
licence our content without authority;
falsely claim ownership; or
use our content in a manner that implies endorsement.
6. MEDIA AND PRESS USE
Members of the media, bloggers, publishers and other organisations seeking to reproduce substantial portions of Accra Hype content should obtain written permission where required.
Permission requests should specify:
the material requested;
proposed use;
publication/platform;
territory;
duration;
whether use is commercial; and
proposed attribution.
Permission may be subject to conditions or fees.
7. COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT REPORTS
If you believe material published on an Accra Hype Platform infringes your copyright, please contact us.
A copyright complaint should contain sufficient information to allow us to investigate.
Please provide:
your full name;
contact details;
evidence that you own or are authorised to act for the copyright owner;
identification of the copyrighted work;
identification of the allegedly infringing material;
the URL or location of the material, where available;
an explanation of the alleged infringement;
any supporting evidence; and
the action you are requesting.

9. REVIEW OF COMPLAINTS
Upon receiving a copyright complaint, we may:
investigate the complaint;
request additional information;
contact the relevant contributor;
temporarily restrict access to material;
remove material where appropriate;
retain material for evidentiary purposes;
seek legal advice; or
take other appropriate action.
Submitting a complaint does not automatically guarantee removal.
10. COUNTER-NOTICE OR RESPONSE
If content has been removed or restricted following a copyright complaint and you believe the removal was incorrect, you may contact us with:
the material concerned;
your explanation;
evidence supporting your right to use the material; and
any relevant licence or permission.
We may review the matter and determine appropriate action.
11. FALSE CLAIMS
Copyright complaints must be made honestly and in good faith.
Knowingly submitting a false or misleading copyright complaint may expose the complainant to legal consequences.
Accra Hype reserves the right to reject complaints that appear fraudulent, abusive or unsupported.
12. TRADEMARKS
Accra Hype names, logos, slogans, designs and other branding may constitute trademarks or other protected intellectual property.
You may not use Accra Hype branding in a manner that:
suggests endorsement;
implies sponsorship;
creates confusion;
misrepresents affiliation; or
commercially exploits the brand
without prior written permission.
13. THIRD-PARTY TRADEMARKS
Third-party names, logos and trademarks appearing on our Platforms remain the property of their respective owners.
Their appearance does not necessarily constitute endorsement or affiliation.
14. SOCIAL-MEDIA CONTENT
Social-media platforms provide native tools for sharing content.
Using those native tools does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property.
Users must comply with:
this Policy;
our Terms of Use; and
the relevant social-media platform's rules.
15. COPYRIGHT AND EDITORIAL MATERIAL
Accra Hype may publish material relating to public figures, entertainment, events and current affairs.
Publication of material does not necessarily mean that Accra Hype owns every underlying copyright interest.
Where appropriate, we may provide attribution, credit or source information.
16. COPYRIGHT RESERVATION
All rights not expressly granted under this Policy or by applicable law are reserved.
No permission to reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit Accra Hype intellectual property should be implied merely because content is publicly accessible.
17. APPLICABLE LAW
This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, including applicable copyright and intellectual-property legislation.
