4. INFORMATION TO INCLUDE

To help us process your request, please provide:

your full name;
your preferred contact information;
the nature of your request;
information that helps us identify the relevant records;
the account, email address, telephone number or social-media username associated with your interaction, where applicable;
any relevant dates; and
any other information reasonably necessary to understand your request.

Please do not send passwords, PINs, banking passwords, authentication codes or other unnecessary sensitive security information.

5. IDENTITY VERIFICATION

We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.

This is intended to protect personal information from unauthorised disclosure.

We will seek to request only information reasonably necessary for verification.

6. TYPES OF REQUESTS

6.1 Access Request

You may ask whether we hold personal information about you and, where applicable, request access to that information subject to applicable law.

6.2 Correction Request

You may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.

6.3 Objection

You may object to certain forms of processing where applicable.

6.4 Direct Marketing

6.5 Withdrawal of Consent

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent.

Withdrawal does not necessarily affect processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal.

We will review and respond to valid requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Where additional time, information or clarification is reasonably required, we may communicate this to you.

If your concern relates primarily to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Snapchat, YouTube or another third-party platform, that platform may also be responsible for processing your information.

You may need to exercise certain rights directly with the relevant platform.

Accra Hype will nevertheless assess matters concerning personal information under our control.

10. COMPLAINTS

If you believe your privacy rights have been infringed and you are dissatisfied with our response, you may have the right to raise the matter with the Ghana Data Protection Commission or another competent authority, subject to applicable law.
