Asuogya residents lament poor road conditions

Residents of Asuogya, a small farming community near Amadukrom in the Fosukrom Electoral Area of the Bia East District, are appealing to government authorities to urgently rehabilitate their deplorable road, which they describe as a death trap.

According to the residents, the road becomes extremely difficult to use, especially during the rainy season.

Schoolchildren are often unable to attend classes, while farmers struggle to transport their produce to nearby markets. Several appeals to address the problem, they say, have so far yielded no positive results.

Beyond the road challenges, the community is also grappling with an acute shortage of potable water. Residents are forced to walk nearly two miles to fetch water for drinking and other domestic use.

They further cited the lack of reliable communication network and electricity as additional challenges hampering development in the area.
